Australian Agency for International Development (AusAID)

AusAID, the Australian Agency for International Development, is responsible for the management of the official overseas aid program of the GoA. It is an administratively autonomous agency within the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and reports directly to the Minister for Foreign Affairs on all aspects of aid policy and operations. The head office is in Canberra, Australia, and it has representatives in 25 overseas Australian diplomatic missions. The objective of AusAID is to advance Australia’s national interest by assisting developing countries in reducing poverty and achieving sustainable development.
