Gender and Social Equity and Good Governance practices

  • 1.1 Support MFSC Gender & Social Equity Working Group in mainstreaming national GSE vision
  • 1.2 Support refining and streamlining of Stage 1 GSE & GG training curricula and modules through MFSC Trng Section & Godavari RTEC
  • 1.2.1 Formalize task team with TOR
  • 1.2.2 Review curricula (LIP, OP, WEP, BDS) including field review/ verification

Conflict resolution and analysis mainstreaming

  • 2.1 Support key stakeholders to apply conflict sensitivity analysis in developing & implementing project's asset handover strategy
  • 2.2. Support “Do No Harm” & conflict resolution training for DFO, DSCO, DEO, WDO, DLSO, project staff, and all (LIP, WEP, OP, EDBPP) facilitators of Stage 1 groups
  • 2.3 Support DoF/ RTEC to incorporate peace & conflict training in Community Forestry GG/ GSE curricula
  • 2.4 To maintain peace & mitigate conflict situation facilitate DFO/ DSCO staff and facilitators at group/ range post level on a needs basis
  • 2.5 Assist & support implementing partners to design & implement improved program transparency measures & practices

WEP strengthening and institutionalization

  • 3.1 Prepare strategy paper on institutionalizing WEP for the MFSC, Ministry of Women, Children, and Social Welfare, and Department of Education
  • 3.2 Facilitate WEP strategy, training, and services to CFUG & CDG WEP groups through WDO, DEO, CLC, & other potl service providers within the DFCC framework
  • 3.3 Support identified institutions in completing sequence of WEP modules for existing WEP facilitators
  • 3.4 Support identified institutions in training new WEP facilitators for focus cluster areas
  • 3.5 Support refining & merging of WEP facilitator training curriculum modules & sessions

LIP implementation

  • 4.1 Support DFO/ DSCO staff to assist CFUG/ CDG to implement LIP
  • 4.1.1 Support DFO to conduct Community Forest Livelihood seminar
  • 4.2 Support DFOs/ DSCOs in ensuring all active LIP & WEP facilitators undertake enhanced LIP training
  • 4.3 Support DFCC/ RTEC task team to strengthen the LIP process by incorporating SEAAP/ CAP & conflict sensitivity training

LIP, business plan, & OP integration

  • 5.1 Assist MFSC to develop a holistic CF concept/ strategy paper that integrates into the OP the 3 elements: LIP, BP, & SFM plan
  • 5.2 Support DFOs to incorporate LIP & Business Planning materials in OP revision training programs for OP TOT & local facilitators
  • 5.3 Submit results of 5.2 to MFSC Extension & Training Section for wider adoption

CFUG ownership of OPs

  • 6.1 Support task team to prepare user-friendly guidelines for a CFUG-driven, cost-effective, integrated OP revision process
  • 6.1.1 Task team to develop a concept paper on the system and mechanisms for cost-effective, CFUG-owned OP preparation & revision that the final stage will implement
  • 6.2 Support DFOs/ RTEC in providing as per need facilitator refresher training on the guidelines
  • 6.3 Support task team, DFO staff, and facilitators in assisting CFUGs revise OPs using the guidelines
  • 6.4 Assist task team to monitor (6.3) results and conduct workshop to provide policy feedback to DoF on mainstreaming the user friendly OP guidelines

Training institutionalization

  • 7.1 Support DFO/ DSCO partnership and capacity building work (integrating all training activities focusing on the 3 elements) with potential training institutions with contracting-out scheme

Facilitator strengthening as a resource pool

  • 8.1 Support MFSC Training Section, DFOs, DSCOs, & NTRMCs to undertake training needs assessment of all categories of facilitators
  • 8.2 Support DFOs/ DSCOs in providing necessary refresher training and training enhancement for facilitators
