- 2.1 Undertake a detailed stakeholder/
institutional analysis in relation to the provision of
key BDS functions, & facilitate necessary stakeholder
consultation to analyze different options, & determine
most effective BDS market & institutional mechanism(s)
to institutionalize during fnl stage.
- 2.2 Support DFCC executive body (EB)
to develop coordinating subcommittee bringing together
DFO, DSCO, FECOFUNs, producer networks, DSBCI, NTRMC,
& other key public-private partners
- 2.3 Orientation & training activity
to provide business development skills & BDS information
to DFO, AFO, and members of the BDS subcommittee
- 2.4 Assist subcommittee to prepare &
update database of buyers & BDS providers of the various
products
- 2.5 Support to BDS subcommittee to establish
forward & backward linkages with national buyers &
local level producers
- 2.6 Facilitate subcommittee to establish
working relationships with other BDS providers in KTM
& project districts
- 2.7 Support subcommittee to conduct a
series of product-related interaction workshops for producers,
service providers, & buyers to review existing status
and for strategic planning of such businesses

expand communication network with KTM-based product marketing
related groups such as ANSAB, BDS MAPS, Winrock, HPCL,
Cottage Industry Federation, sawmills association, JABAN,
PAC, NARDF

- 3.1 Support subcommittee to coordinate
exposure visits for NTFP producers
- 3.2 Support subcommittee
to coordinate entrepreneurship development and business
plan preparation training to potential CFUGs through appropriate
service providers
- 3.2.1 Support subcommittee to provide
on-site follow up support to trained groups to develop
business plans & business registration
- 3.3 Support subcommittee to coordinate
line agency & private sector technical services &
skill training in processing to NTFP & timber groups
and Forage Resource Centers
- 3.4 Support subcommittee to coordinate
post-production management (value-adding packaging etc)
training for different products
- 3.5 Support subcommittee to organize
market linkage exposure visits, workshops among the CFUGs,
BDS providers and buyers on a regular basis
- 3.5.1 Assist subcommittee to provide
market information to groups
- 3.6 Support subcommittee to coordinate
book-keeping training to those enterprises requiring support

implementation of business plans

participation of CFUGs and networks in different trade
shows within and outside the districts
