Training institutionalization

All the three result areas of the project include different types
of training activities to develop the capability of the staff
of DFO, DSCO, DLSO and members of CFUGs and other partner stakeholders.
In addition to training there are short-term study tour in the
country to share and exchange the experience of community forest
management and livelihood activities. Training curriculum development
is the foundation for the planning and conduction of training
programmes. Among the several training curriculum development
activities and execution of training programmes the main activities
includes the following:
Training
Curriculum and Training Materials Development

• Revision of training modules of operation plan (OP)
of community forestry and development of curriculum, facilitator's
training book and guide.
• Revision of training modules of women empowerment
programme (WEP) and development of curricula, facilitator's
training book and guide
• Revision of training modules of livelihood programmes
and development of curriculum, facilitators' training book
and guide
• Assist RFTC to revise the basic forest guard training
curriculum, training materials and trainer's guide
• Revise the training materials of fodder and forage
and development of curriculum, facilitator's training book
and guide
• Develop training curriculum, facilitator's training
book and guide on non-timber forest products (NTFP)
• Networking and consultation with national and district
level government and semi-government organizations and non-government
organization for institutionalisation of OP, WEP and LIP
training programmes.

and conflict resolution training for DFO, DSCO, DEO, WDO,
DLSO and project staff

of CFUGs

• Training in good governance and gender and social
equity (GG/GSE) for project staff and selected local facilitators
• Entrepreneurship development and business promotion
training for project technical staff, project partners and
service providers
• Entrepreneurship development and business promotion
training for local facilitators of CFUGs
• On-the-spot training in cooperative management and
business promotion for executive members of CFUG network
• Refresher training in OP for rangers and local facilitators
• Forage seeds and slips production and processing
training for the members of Forest Resource Council (FRC)
• Vegetable farming training for the staff of DSCO
• Land use training for the staff of DSCO
• Self-evaluation and monitoring training for the
members of CDG
• VAHW Refresher training for agro-vet operators
• Modular OP preparation and revision training (3
modules) for facilitators
• Training in GPSE for project field staff
• Basic forest guard training in association with
Regional Forest Training Centre (RFTC)
• Programme specific refresher training and follow
up training based on the needs of CFUGs and districts
