Training manuals published by the Project have been prepared by Project staff and Associates following an intensive round of training needs assessments undertaken of the staff of the Departments of Forest and Soil Conservation and Watershed Management and NGOs, and among members of Forest User Groups and Community Development Groups of Kabhre Palanchok and Sindhu Palchok. The manuals and associated training materials have been used extensively to train field workers, in the training of trainers program (TOT), and in the Women Empowerment Program, designed to increase participation by rural women in the decision making processes of community forest management. Some manuals are in English and others in Nepali. Only the manuals printed in English are available in full on this web site.
